OUR HISTORY

In 1989, my grandpa Donald Spicer opened the doors to Don’s Cafe in Moberly, MO. He was a man that was connected to the Moberly community; and quickly built a successful business. During his 7 years in business, I was fortunate enough to be able to work alongside him on weekends and during my summer breaks. I learned a lot about customer service, running a successful business and most importantly– being able to spend time with a man I admire. In 1996, he sold the business and I graduated from high school and went into the construction industry. However, I had always dreamed of owning a restaurant.

In October 2008 that I had an opportunity to purchase some land and a building in Huntsville, MO that was just down the road from the original Don’s Cafe. I decided to take a chance and turn my of owning a restaurant into a reality. When it came to naming my new business I decided to name it after my grandpa. Don’s Family Style Buffet opened its doors on November 25, 2008 and has been serving customers in the Mid-Missouri area and beyond ever since.

HARD WORK & DELICIOUS FOOD

Since opening our door in 2008, we have worked extremely hard to provide the freshest ingredients to our customers. Our staff does an amazing job of helping keep a friendly atmosphere while our customers keep telling their friends and family about us! We do listen to our customers and over the past few years we have done some remodeling and added an additional room with nearly 80 additional seats to get you in the doors a little quicker.
